According to my own experience with PUC. It is surely one of the top universities in Cambodia. Its works for student and its lecturers are such a big challenge for any students who study there. But, as I have heard only someone from Takeo Province is awarded the scholarship with the term that u finish IEAP with grade B or A. For monk, they may have to pay 50%. But it was i heard 3 years ago when i was a student there…
      With love and metta…

Oh, I heard this academic year 2011-2012, the ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport has announced that Government would provide scholarship to thousands of students who finished senior high school around the country for both private and public universities. It is a great opportunity for Cambodian students to get higher education. I want to see such great occasion every year for the benefits of the many, for the peace and happiness of Cambodia and the world and also for the development of human resources in Cambodia. With Metta,

    Why worry?
For every problem under the sun there is a remedy or there is none if there is one try to find it if there is none, why worry about it?

    What is a useful life?
What is wealth, which is neither distributed nor enjoyed?
what is power?, which is not exercised to stop enemies?
what is knowledge?, which is not coupled with dhamma?
what is life?, which is not being disciplined?

    Why is it called Abhidhamma?
Abhidhamma is unique in Buddhism. It is one of the Tipitaka Pali texts which explains Dhammas in detail and in an analytical way. Regarding the explanation of dhammas, it does so in more detail than Suttanta. That is why the text is called Abhidhamma.

    Who is the author?
The Buddha is the author of Abhidhamma. There was a controversy about the authorship. It has been said that Abhidhamma is not the teaching of the Buddha. Indeed, that it is only later work.
Thera Buddhaghosa, a new commentator, advocates that Abhidhamma is the Buddha’s teaching. It is described in his commentary on Dhammasangani, Atthasalini by name:
” His heart by that world-pitying love inspired, when, after the twin miracle, he dwelt. At the high mansion of the Thirty-three, throned- like the sun on Mount Yugandhara on Pandukambula, his rocky seat, Under the tree called Paricchattaka, He by that noble insight gave discourse, on the Abhidhamma to the spirit who came, led by his mother, from the myriad worlds, and compassed him about on every side.”

( the Expositor, 2), (the same book mentioned above.)

There are four ways on how the mindfulness should be done. As mentioned in the Mahasatipatthana Sutta.
    What are the four?

Cambodia, Thailand and Myanmar, I should say, form Buddhist Schools, Cummunities and even universities. In Tibet, monastery authority was predominantly running the show perviously but now secular education start to take root. Good idea to expand Buddhist schools, college and and even university, like the ones we see in Taiwan and again the private sectors are contributing the most and a few sects of Mahayana are dominant. Once should enhance the teaching of Sakyamuni Buddha and the elements of Primitive Buddhism and Theravada Buddhism plays an important part! Sadhu, sadhu, sadhu to all who contribute to the education of Buddhism in Cambodia.
